Every long-lasting epoxy floor or countertop starts long before the resin is mixed. The performance of any epoxy system depends almost entirely on how well the surface beneath it is prepared. That’s why surface evaluation and preparation are the foundation of everything we do.

For homeowners, this means we don’t cut corners. We take the time to properly clean, profile, and repair the surface so the coating can bond correctly and perform as intended. For builders and general contractors, this means industry-recognized preparation standards - not shortcuts.

Our process typically targets a Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) 2–3, which provides the ideal texture for epoxy adhesion. When needed, we assess surface hardness using Mohs testing and evaluate moisture conditions in concrete using ASTM F2170 in-situ relative humidity testing. These steps help determine the right system, repairs, and primers before installation begins.
